Casey: [00:00:00] Happy new year, my friend. Welcome back to the purpose map podcast. I'm Casey Berglund, your host, and the founder of worthy and well, and thank you so much for being here. We have been through. Quarter together at the end of 2021 with the purpose map podcasts, since our launch at the end of September, beginning of October, and now we're into a whole new year of delightful, informative, valuable content shared through this podcast.
Casey: Here's how this is going to go down a little bit of a short and sweet episode today. I actually just want to open up with a little bit of an update and a game plan for the podcast and a couple core resources that I think might support you, that you might love. And then at the end of this episode today, I'm going to actually pull a card from a new Oracle deck.
Casey: I received that is [00:01:00] the. Great unknown archetype stack by Kim Kranz in case you'd like a little message for your 2022. First off, we kicked off the year with the purpose map digital day retreat on Sunday, January 2nd. And Ugh, that was so fun. What a great turnout of incredible purpose-driven humans who are so generous and.
Casey: Caring about like connecting and getting clear and celebrating. And it was for me, just like the epitome of inner fulfillment and aligned success. If you're listening and you joined us on that beautiful day on Sunday. Thank you. Thank you for your presence. Thank you for being involved. Thank you for engaging.
Casey: I have really been receiving lots of feedback from folks about the wonderful beings that they connected with. You know, one of my. Hope's intentions for that day was [00:02:00] that you would walk away with at least one new friend. And I think, I think we were successful with that based on what I know what I'm hearing so far.
Casey: So if you were at the day retreat, there's a feedback form coming to you. Please take the time to fill it out. It's so helpful. Helps me to serve you better. So amazing. Thanks for kicking off the new year. That way, if you weren't able to join us. It's okay. There might be an opportunity in the future. I hope you've had, uh, you've received exactly what you needed over the holiday season and into the new year.
Casey: I know a lot of friends and people in the worthy Amal community have had COVID over the holidays, which is too bad. I wish you, well, please rest up. Get healthy, take care of yourself. This is an ongoing thing, you know, my goodness. Okay. So we wrapped up 2022, Nope, [00:03:00] 2021, December of 2021 with the theme of helping you to feel worthy and well loved.
Casey: So we had all those conversations about relationships and hard conversations and sex, and you know, whether you should stay or go in a relationship. We're starting a new theme. We're going to talk about getting you paid, helping you to feel worthy and well paid. And this is such an important topic. You know, I know money, the conversation about money and wealth and career that can be triggering.
Casey: It can bring up some stuff. You might have an experience around money that feels abundant and expensive, or it might feel really scarce. And like it triggers shame around money. Take a breath with me.
Casey: However you relate with money and getting paid. All of you is welcome here. However you [00:04:00] relate. You're not alone. Um, trust me, that is just true. Because I think that it's really important that we have a healthy relationship with money that we learned how to use money in ways that create more good in the world.
Casey: We're going to spend a little more time on this topic. We're going to spend all of Q1. That's January, February, March of 2022. Talking on the podcast about helping you to feel worthy and well paid. So here's, what's ahead. Uh, an amazing lineup of guests, some solo episodes by me. Um, I hope to do some Q and A's.
Casey: If you have questions that you'd like answers to, please, please, please send them along. I. Love hearing your questions and definitely creating meaningful content for you. So email [email protected], [00:05:00] even if you'd just like to share some topics that you'd like to hear some conversations around this podcast is here for you.
Casey: So talk to me and help me know what will be most valuable for you. I'd be curious to know what your biggest struggle or frustration is as it relates to money and getting paid. Mm input where the ml.com send me just a short line or two about what your biggest frustration or struggle is too many books that I've read recently that I'm feeling called to share about one of them is actually like one that I re-read re-read re-read re-read again.
Casey: Um, it's one of the. Need to keep coming back to as a business owner. And that is profit first. It's really about paying yourself first and a way of looking at and systematizing your business so that it is financially healthy. So if you are an entrepreneur, a business owner, even if you're not, to be honest, I think there's some concepts in that book that are really applicable [00:06:00] to personal finances as well.
Casey: But profit first is a great one. And then. One that I have been devouring and I'm not quite finished yet. It's the book. We should all be millionaires by Rachel Rogers. She's this amazing, powerful black woman who speaks about the importance of wealth, especially for folks who have marginalized identities, especially for women, especially for people of color and the book.
Casey: Funny, it's informative. It's a kick in the ass. It's empowering. It's inspiring. I feel like I am receiving some hot wisdom from Rachel through reading her book and it definitely makes me feel called to make more money so that I can have a greater impact in the world and to support more people, more entrepreneurs, more women in general to.
Casey: You know, we got to heal our shit around money so that we can receive more [00:07:00] and do with it. What will help make our lives better and make the world a better place? So those are two books that I just felt called to mention to you today, profit first, and we should all be millionaires. Those might help you get in the zone of talking about money and, you know, It's the beginning of the year.
Casey: And as a business owner, it's always important for me at the beginning of a new year to check in with you and to really listen to you. So if you are someone who is kind of thinking like, you know what, I could use some support around money, making money, maybe in business it's sales, bringing more income in, um, or just empowerment in general.
Casey: Around money. I would love to chat with you. I'm opening up 10 spots in my calendar. Uh, and you would be definitely helping me by claiming one of those 10 spots for 20 to 30 [00:08:00] minute conversations, no strings attached. There's no, uh, expectation outside of me being able to ask questions about like, what are you struggling with and what do you really want as it relates to getting paid and making money?
Casey: I would love to listen and hold space and ask potent questions. And in return, receive your truths. These 20 to 30 minute conversations will help to create better content for. To create more solutions for you. So the link is in the show notes to book into my calendar for one of those 20 to 30 minute conversations.
Casey: And like what's in it for you. You're bound to get clear by the end around. How you're feeling and where you're at and what you need next. So it might act as like, um, mini little coaching conversation. Um, I'll definitely do more listening than talking. So thank you for booking. One of those calls for sharing your truths.
Casey: Uh, it'll [00:09:00] super, super help us create content this quarter. That's truly meaningful. Okay. That's all I have to say for now. Uh, you get a amazing guest next week. I'm so excited for you to meet them. And you'll find out who they are next week. In the meantime, like I said, I'm going to pull you a card. Now at the retreat on the weekend, someone had asked a question at the end.
Casey: She said something like, you know, I'm not, I'm not super familiar with, uh, Oracle cards or taro cards. And I don't know, it's a bit like triggering to think of them, like, like it's fortune telling her something and, you know, Here's what I use them for. I think they're great tools to help you connect in with your body wisdom.
Casey: We're not like telling your future by pulling a card necessarily, really. I'm giving you a, something to respond to something to notice in your body, how it. [00:10:00] Impacts you, you know, when I pull a card and you read it and it's like, oh yes. When that's your reaction, it kind of tells you maybe where your desires are, what you want.
Casey: Whereas if I pull a card in it, maybe frightens you or creates this discomfort in your body. That is information too. So these cards are just information and I invite you to kind of explore them or build a relationship with them in that way, thinking about it that way. And also if you don't want to, no problem.
Casey: No problem. So for those of you who are like, yeah, pull a card, this is for you. Alrighty. Whoops. One just popped out. I'm going to trust, trust the deck. Okay. Interesting. All right. This card, it's beautiful. If I could describe it to you. It's this is a circular deck and this card has. All these like multi-faceted colors and almost the shadow of a person in the background with a like [00:11:00] Pearl in the middle.
Casey: It's hard to describe, um, perhaps I'll post a photo of it in the show notes. The card is the self. So let me find the reading for this one.
Casey: Alrighty.
Casey: Let's come in. Here we go. The south, the soul, the witness, the watcher, the self is the prism that allows the spectrum of our personalities to radiate. It does not judge prohibit, suppress or oppress any of its parts as it lovingly knows that all aspects have a time and a place and leads us to experience the whole breadth of life's offerings.
Casey: The self is the central abiding container, the awareness of the infinite universe of possibilities. [00:12:00] When this card appears, it's a call to step back in to witness consciousness, to observe yourself navigating the world. Ask yourself. Am I the stew or am I the chef? In most situations, our ego draws us into the cauldron where we swirl, spin and smolder in chaos.
Casey: Yet the self is a graceful culinary, denser watching, waiting, observing as the spectrum of life. Nope. As the spectrum of ingredients become the flavor of our lives. Look in the mirror for 30 seconds or more attempt to see the you behind the you. Okay. And this reading has a few words to describe when this archetype let's say is light or in its high vibration.
Casey: It says that this part is witnessing accepting new aspects of self. And when this archetype is dark or in its [00:13:00] shadow, it can feel disjointed, fatigued, like there's diffused energy and purpose. Okay. There's a couple more little readings for this card. It's no surprise that two central mantras in the yoga tradition concern themselves with.
Casey: Experiment with so hum I am that and set numb, true identity as a Yogi myself. Uh, so hum is a mantra, a traditional traditional sound script words. So it means I am that. So you might say these words over and over to yourself in meditation and just notice what comes up. So, so hum, I am that and set numb, true identity.
Casey: Final reading. If this card is perplexing for you, you are on the right track. It challenges us to expand our sense of identity beyond the little self [00:14:00] and the ego resists such movement. Hmm. Interesting. I'm having a little intuition around this card and how it relates with this piece about. Money and getting paid, uh, almost that perhaps there will be an invitation for us to explore worth and explore.
Casey: Maybe thinking bigger or playing bigger in the realm of how we look at money, getting paid a sense of self-worth value. I'm curious what comes up for you when you hear this too? Okay, that's all for now. Again, email your questions to [email protected]. Book a spot in my calendar to chat, to have a casual conversation 20 to 30 minutes where I will ask you questions and listen and hold space specifically to hear where you're at, as it relates to your own relationship with money and [00:15:00] your plans and desires for this year around.
Casey: Okay, take really good care. I can't wait to talk with you soon. Bye-bye okay.
